Fabrics dance, balloons have a mind of their own, confetti turns into the night sky, and a gorgeous canopy becomes a river of silk hovering over the audience in this modern circus spectacle and ode to childhood.

The two siblings at the heart of the adventure journey through an enchanted world animated by the wind, transforming the ordinary into objects of uncommon beauty. With visual images seemingly sewn from the sky, and music that transports the audience (Yann Tiersen, Gustav Holst), this visual poem will enchant and electrify the young and young at heart, ages 5 and up.

The creation of husband and wife team Seth Bloom and Christina Gelsone, this humorous and moving interactive spectacle merges their circus and street theater performance art with the artistry of kinetic sculptor Daniel Wurtzel (Finding Neverland on Broadway, Cirque du Soleil’s Amaluna, Sochi Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony). Air Play is more narrative and philosophical than when the duo came to Top of the Park in 2016 to perform the interactive comedy show Waterballoon Gladiators! Rather, The New York Times explained in March, “The show has tried to capture some of the feeling of viewing Mr. Wurtzel’s air sculptures in a museum.”

The Acrobuffos have created five critically acclaimed shows and their humanitarian work teaching social circus in post-conflict zones was featured in The New York Times. They have thrilled crowds at festivals in 23 countries on 6 continents and performed on Letterman. Seth is a former professional juggler and Christina is a former professional ballerina who graduated from Princeton to become a clown.
