Be the Change: Stories and Crafts for First Steps in Social Justice @ Westgate Branch

Mindfulness Instructor Grace Helms Kotre will read the picture book Skin Again by bell hooks and lead a brief discussion about how and why skin color varies.

Children will be invited to explore objects that match their own skin tone and create a self portrait with fun craft materials.

Parent resources on discussing race with young children will be provided.
