Explore the fascinating world of fluid dynamics! Together we will discuss what is a “fluid”, and through experimentation, we will learn how they move and interact. Learn how wind creates waves and test the surface tension of different liquids. How do different fluids mix? Can you ever unmix them? Learn about how and why U-M researchers are studying fluid dynamics. This demo is filled to the brim with hands-on experiments, and is funded by the National Science Foundation.
Hands-on demonstrations are 20-30 minute interactive programs on the 2nd floor of the Museum. They include both brief presentations highlighting University research and engaging hands-on activities, and are suitable for adults and children ages 5 and up.
