*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 06/29/2017
Come learn about and experience these communities! Staff from Natural Area Preservation will lead a family-friendly nature walk through the woods.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

This unique nature area is cradled by an oxbow in the Huron River, which supports a patchwork of interesting habitats like wet meadow, upland prairie, and mesic forests. Much of this nature area is old farmland. Come learn about and experience these communities! Staff from Natural Area Preservation will lead a family-friendly nature walk through the woods. Meet at the Barton Dam parking lot on Huron River Drive.

Wear comfortable clothes and bring water if desired. The nature walks are a collaboration between the AADL and Natural Area Preservation that take place once a month April through September. Some of AADL’s Science Tools will be available for use during the walk!
