"Rapunzel! Rapunzel! - A Very Hairy Fairy Tale" will be presented for the first time in this area by the City of Farmington Hills Youth Theatre on November 21 - 23 and again on December 6 - 7 at the Costick Center. This "fractured fairy tale" takes the classic story and re-tells it with a twist, featuring singing, dancing, and lots of fun.
Directed by Mel Sheatzley with The Actors Avenue, "Rapunzel" will be performed by two large casts with many local actors in grades 1-12.
"Bravo to Farmington Hills for nurturing new talent and opening doors for young performers," said Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman, the composers, lyricists, and playwrights for "Rapunzel," who are thrilled to have their production performed by the Youth Theatre.
Performances are on Friday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 22 at 5 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 6, at 1 and 5 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10; children 3 and under are free.
