This is an amazing opportunity to perform at this venue where Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, and many more have taken the very stage that our campers will perform on. We are so excited!!

HOURS FOR ALL CAMPS -

9:30 AM - 3:30 PM   MONDAY - FRIDAY

**All Camps include lunch with a drink and a snack every day. We think it's

important to support our community while indulging in the delicacies that Ann

Arbor has to offer. So, we dine from the iconic rocker's Fleetwood Diner,

LeDog, Satini's Subs, Crazy Jim's Blimpy Burgers, and a pizza place. Once in

a while, Alex Johnson whips up his special 3 cheese grilled cheese

sandwiches with secret sauce - it's a camp favorite! Vegan and vegetarian

options are available all days. We also have a super fun field trip to the

Washtenaw Dairy for Ice Cream!

Camp #1 - YOUNG ROCKER BAND CAMP (ages 12 and under):

INSTRUMENTS: GUITAR, BASS, DRUMS, KEYBOARD, SAX, VOICE, VIOLIN.

This week long camp provides a fun, yet diverse educational curriculum to offer a unique summer musical experience. Every morning the campers will rotate through various hands-on classroom environments with specific tasks and goals. The campers will learn about rock history by playing some of the most influential rock songs from the 50s to present. Campers will learn how to sing scales and how to integrate their scale knowledge with famous rock melodies. Additionally, the campers will learn the fundamentals of rhythm through music games. The campers will also learn how to trouble shoot their gear so they will feel right at home on stage during their epic rock performances.

During the afternoon, students will learn the fundamentals of songwriting by learning one quintessential rock song in its entirety and ten emulating said song with an original composition under the direction of the band leader, a knowledgable member of A2MC staff. They will also completely write a song from start to finish, as a band, then practice both songs to perform at the end of the week. Music campers will learn how to rehearse with a group and how to develop good group practice skills while having fun.

Prerequisites: We teach students of all levels at camp, but we ask that absolute beginners sign up for lessons several weeks prior to the start of camp.

Cost: $499.00

CAMP #4 BEATLES CAMP (ALL AGES)

INSTRUMENTS: GUITAR, BASS, DRUMS, VIOLIN, KEYBOARD, VOICE

On the first day we'll form bands and each band will assume the role of a specific Beatles era. In other words, the "Early Beatles" band will play early Beatles songs such as (but not specifically) Love Me Do, Twist and Shout and All My Loving. The mid-career band will play songs from “Rubber Soul” and “Revolver” such as Drive My Car, Taxman and Eleanor Rigby. Another band will assume the personae of the end-of-days Beatles playing songs like Hey Jude, Let it Be, Octopus's Garden and Revolution.

Each band will dissect songs from their assigned era to learn about the methods of song writing that went into the greatest songs on earth. We'll also discover the technology behind the Beatles' sound to make our performances as authentic as possible. We’ll study stage presence and depth of harmony. We'll even have a screening of "A Hard Day's Night" to fuel the fire. This week is sure to be among the most educational weeks in a young musician's life. Suit and tie optional.

Prerequisites: We teach students of all levels at camp, but we ask that absolute beginners sign up for lessons several weeks prior to the start of camp.

COST: $499.00

Campers will learn how to rehearse with a group and how to develop good group practice skills while having fun, but without the pressure of putting on a show at the end of the week.

Prerequisites: We teach students of all levels at camp, but we ask that absolute beginners sign up for lessons several weeks prior to the start of camp.
