Young Engineers Class- Series 2

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sun, 12/11/2016
Young Engineers is designed to be a fun, nurturing, and age-appropriate introduction to robotics, architecture, and engineering. 1 hour classes walk children, from start to finish, through a different project each week.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Projects are new starting in Fall'13, are play-based, and will include building with LEGO & Duplo bricks, building and programming simple WeDo(R) robots, and exploring gears, levers, and other engineering fundamentals. This is part of a 4 part series that runs through the spring and series can be taken in any order. There are 6 projects per session for a total of 24 STEM based projects in all.

Young Engineers helps to develop fine motor skills, social skills, comfort with colors, patterns, and numbers, and an early learning engineering and architecture vocabulary upon which to build going forward. Parents/Care-Givers are asked to stay at The Robot Garage but not required to be in the classroom. Please feel free to bring a cup of coffee, use our wireless, and hang-out in our lounge or drop-in room during class.
