Aikido Samurai Summer Camp

Discover your inner samurai! Kids will use their inner force in aikido play, learning the basics to aikido movement and sword work in the process. Our camp will culminate with aikido sword play in the park.

An Aikido Samurai adventure! Calling all kids age 5 to 10 to leap, jump, and roll in this 5-day Summer Camp that taps into your inner samurai master. Learn aikidio martial arts through games and practice that move the body, build confidence, and teach how to fall down safely, learn self-defense principles and basic sword work in a fun, cooperative environment.
Our Day Camp programming runs from 8:45am to 1pm, Monday June 27th - Friday July 1st. Each day includes aikido, games, crafts, Japanese arts and culture, and snacks. On specific days there will be field trips to the University of Michigan Museum, the park, and pool.
No aikido or martial arts experience is necessary! Reserve your space today spaces are filling up fast!
