Black History Month at The Wright Museum

*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 01/28/2022
Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans, in recognition of their central role in U.S. history. This observance event grew out of “Negro History Week,” established by historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans in 1926. Across the nation and around the world, Black History Month serves as a reminder of the resilience of generations of African Americans of all backgrounds who have fought for freedom and justice. Join in our month-long exploration and celebration of African American history!
