Bricks 4 Kidz- Ann Arbor
Chelsea resident Lori Stevens is happy to bring a new educational enrichment program to the Chelsea, Dexter, Ann Arbor and surrounding communities.
Bricks 4 Kidz is a locally owned and operated creative learning program that teaches elementary school aged children concepts in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) using LEGO® components such as bricks, gears, motors, and axles. The classes are run through after school enrichment programs in area schools and weekend and evening classes in various places in each town.
The models built in a Bricks 4 Kidz LEGO® Lab are not like the LEGO® models built from a kit bought at your typical toy store. Most Bricks 4 Kidz models are actual working machines that utilize motors, gears, and axles. All the models and lesson plans are unique to Bricks 4 Kidz.
Designed by teachers, architects and engineering professionals, the lessons in a Bricks 4 Kidz class help students build problem solving and critical thinking skills and foster creativity and innovation.
Bricks 4 Kidz currently has classes, Kids Night Out, and holiday events scheduled in Chelsea, Stockbridge, Manchester, Dexter and Ann Arbor.
