*The event has already taken place on this date: Thu, 12/12/2019
‘Tis the season to be jolly with friends and family at the Detroit Zoo! Join us for a buffet-style dinner in the warmth of the Wildlife Interpretive Gallery. This event includes a special gift for each child, arts and crafts, photo opportunities and a visit from Santa. The magic continues with admission to Wild Lights, where more than five million LED lights illuminate trees, buildings and 265 sculptures throughout the Zoo.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

New this year! On December 12, Dinner with Santa will be a sensory-friendly experience. This event is exclusive to families of children with sensory sensitivities and has been created to promote a safe, accessible and welcoming environment. Lights will be dimmed, music will be turned down and the capacity will be reduced to help create a safe and less stimulating environment.
