Youth Aerial (Beginning & Intermediate)

This class is designed for active young people to explore the aerial arts, known as "flying". All students will warm up and cool down together, then will split into two groups based on experience and ability level. This class will include instruction on the aerial fabrics, static trapeze, and lyra.
Beginning students will work with instructor Stephanie to learn the basic poses and sequences on the aerial apparatus. Once they have the basics down, they will work on building the endurance needed to spend several minutes in the air, as well as sequencing poses into mini routines.
Intermediate students will be with instructor Sara, focusing on technique, form, and choreography while learning more complex sequences and developing their personal style.
Youth aerial classes are offered in monthly sessions, as we strongly recommend regular lessons to build confidence and endurance. You may register you child for the entire month at a discounted rate or you may purchase individual credits which can be used to sign up for the date(s) of your choice. Registration for monthly sessions will open 2 weeks before the start date of that month classes (unless indicated otherwise above), individual date sign up will be available on the Monday before the first day of class until the end of that month.
- New students must have parent or legal guardian present at their first class.
- There are no drop-ins for this class, please make sure to sign up via our website before arriving to the studio.
- Please bring a water bottle.
- Please wear comfortable, close-fitting clothing that allows freedom of movement and covers backs of the knees, underarms, and waist when hands are extended above the head. Loose shirts and shorts are not recommended as they can get caught on the apparatus.
- Long must be tied hair tied back.
- No jewelry, rivets, zippers, or anything else which could catch on or damage the apparatus.
