Motor Muster at The Henry Ford

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sun, 06/20/2021
Kick summer into high gear this Father’s Day weekend in Greenfield Village. Motor Muster in Greenfield Village, one of the country’s most exciting historic vehicle shows, transports you to the golden eras of car culture. Cruise through a diverse collection of vehicles for a rare opportunity to step inside immersive vignettes from five of the American auto industry’s most formative decades. From the lean Depression-era ’30s and the American home front during World War II to the futuristic ’50s, revolutionary ’60s and bicentennial ’70s, get a unique perspective on American culture through the lens of what we drove. Every automobile, from luxury vehicles to gritty muscle cars, has been carefully chosen to guide you through a unique story of American drive.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Plan to stay late on Saturday night for live classic American rock and pop hits from the 1970s performed by local favorite Classic Gold.
All weekend long, mingle (from a safe distance!) with hundreds of car owners ready to show off the talent that goes into preserving and restoring these living connections to the past. Then listen in as experts share the history and insights at pass-in-review parades. Consider the distance we’ve traveled and discover how far you can take it forward.
Please Note: Adhering to current CDC Guidelines, The Henry Ford will make adjustments to provide a safe and enjoyable experience. Each display area will be roped and staked to maintain distances of six feet or more. The popular “Pass-in Review” parade will still be included in the event. Member reservations will be required for a safe and enjoyable experience. If maximum capacity is reached inside the venue, members without reservations and guests without tickets may not be permitted to enter.
NEW in 2021: Racing
This year’s feature celebrates the opening of The Henry Ford’s new exhibition, Driven to Win: Racing in America presented by General Motors, with a spotlight on auto racing. Americans love speed and spectacle. Whether it’s open-wheel competition at Indianapolis, super stock duels at the drag strip, or a 25-lap feature at the local dirt oval, racing stirs excitement – and sells cars. Automakers tout their victories and give their production cars racing-inspired names. Pontiac had the Bonneville, the LeMans and the Trans Am. Studebaker and Dodge both used Daytona, while Ford claimed Talladega. Chevrolet topped everyone, naming its entire brand for Swiss-American racing driver Louis Chevrolet. In 2021 we’ll remember the cars, the drivers and the tracks that made racing in America so special.
