Calling all nature navigators! Join us for our 38th year of Summer Day Camp at Maybury State Park! Campers will play games, go on nature hikes, field trips, create crafts, go fishing, and make new friends. Our staff and Maybury State Park provides the perfect camp experience in a beautiful setting with our traditional camp activities.
The camp runs for 8 weeks and will include a weekly field trip!
Our caring and competent staff will lead the campers in activities that promote appreciation of the outdoors. Weekly topics with age appropriate activities and projects will be included. Our camp is licensed through the State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. It is our goal to carry on the traditions of the highest quality day camp experience.
All campers MUST bring a lunch including a beverage and a healthy snack and spending money on field trip days. Sorry there is no fridge available. Campers will also need to bring plenty of drinking water for the whole day (especially on the very hot days). Please note: When packing your child’s lunch or snack, please do NOT send any items that contain peanuts or tree nuts as many children experience allergies. We appreciate your cooperation.
Campers must have completed Kindergarten, no exceptions. Check in begins every day promptly at 9:20am in the parking loop by the horse stables (entrance off Beck Road). Early drop-off is available, for an additional fee. Staff and campers will begin walking back to the day camp building no later than 9:45. If you are late dropping off or need to pick your child up early, you will need to walk back to the day camp building.
Recreation Passport
A Recreation Passport is required for ALL vehicles entering the park for drop-off and pick-up. The Recreation Passport has replaced motor vehicle permits for entry into all Michigan State Parks and is available when renewing your license plate tabs at the Secretary of State or at any park office. The cost for a Recreation Passport is $11.00. Vehicles not having the passport will be ticketed.
