Tecumseh's 29th Annual Appleumpkin Festival

The Appleumpkin Festival is a weekend of family fun in Downtown Tecumseh. Craft Vendors, Food Trucks, Carnival Rides, Antiques Vendors, Bounce Houses, Helicopter Rides and Monster Truck Rides are just a few of the activities you can enjoy. As well as many unique shops and restaurants to browse through while attending the festival. Free parking and shuttle service will be available.

Appleumpkin Festival Carnival Area

The leaves are falling from the trees, the morning air has a certain crispness to it. This can only mean one thing in Lenawee County; it's time for Tecumseh's Appleumpkin Festival. You'll want to bring the whole gang to town for this one.

The kids will enjoy the midway rides & carnival games (Wrist band can be purchased for all day - price TBA), inflatables, Bungee Jump . Make-it-take-it crafts, corn box and kid's putt putt golf are all FREE. Plus, helicopter rides - (price to be determined, max of 3 passengers per ride - cash or credit card) and monster truck rides. Lots of fun for all ages!!!

The Antique Street Fair and Flea Market will keep you captivated for hours.

The Arts & Crafts Show brings wonderfully handcrafted creations into Tecumseh. Looking for live entertainment? Stop by one of three stages throughout the festival and take in the fantastic live performances. There is something for everyone to enjoy throughout the weekend. All this fun is sure to work up an appetite. Good thing we invited so many of your favorite fair food vendors to town for the weekend. Want to sit down and rest a spell? Our Tecumseh restaurants are ready to serve you a delicious meal while you relax.

Be sure to visit your favorite Tecumseh shops, many feature specials and savings for the Appleumpkin weekend.

Saturday features an Antique Tractor Show on South Evans Street. Sunday a Classic Car Meet will take place on South Evants Street.

FREE parking is available in and around the Downtown area as well as at Tecumseh High School Shuttle on the westend of town. FREE shuttle service is available to transport festival goers Downtown and to the Kapnick Orchards Apple Festival.

Tecumseh's Appleumpkin Festival is held in conjunction with Kapnick Orchards Apple Festival. You can take a short drive out to the apple orchard and enjoy fresh apples, cider and donuts. Wagon rides, a petting zoo and over 80 craft booths are just some of the highlights at the Kapnick Orchards Apple Festival.

Other area activities include: • The Kelly Carter and Thomas Leffler Memorial Scholarship 5K Run Sunday October 15th 8:00am start time The KC/TL Scholarship run is held annually on the Sunday morning of Tecumseh’s annual Appleumpkin Festival. This year the race will begin at 8 am, Oct 15th 2023, with Festival activities beginning at 10am. There are shower facilities available at Carter Rehab and Aquatics center located less than a mile from the race start / finish. This is a fund raiser for the Kelly Carter & Thomas Leffler Scholarship which is awarded to ancillary medicine students every year since 1995.

This is a family friendly event and as such there are no application fees. We do request donations, 100% of which go to the Lenawee County Education Foundation for distribution. To date Carter Rehab has granted 55 scholarships, and the more we raise through this event, the more we are able to provide. We look forward to seeing you on Oct 15th at the run, and at the Appleumpkin Festival which you are sure to enjoy. About the Kelly Carter & Thomas Leffler Scholarship Physical Therapist Kelly Carter opened Carter Rehab and Aquatics Center in Tecumseh in 1993 and with Physical Therapist Thomas Leffler. Carter Rehab has served the communities of Lenawee County with Physical and Occupational therapy for over 30 years. The Scholarship was started in 1995 to provide assistance to students pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Athletic Training.
