Family Day is a biannual, family-friendly event featuring engaging, hands-on activities related to the cultures of the ancient Middle East, Greece, Egypt, and Rome!

Discover how people lived in the past by playing ancient games, handling replica artifacts, and learning to write in new alphabets.

Explore the museum on kid-friendly tours of the museum galleries and learn how to explore the ancient world in continuing activities at home.

Create your own versions of ancient artifacts to take home (like frescoes, mosaics, mummies, toys, jewelry, pottery, hieroglyphs, seals, and more) inspired by the artifacts on display at the Kelsey Museum.

Family Day is free and open to the public. Engaging, hands-on activities take place in Newberry Hall. Docents will be stationed throughout our galleries to provide a kid-friendly experience.
