The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra's February MainStage welcomes 2019 Queen Elisabeth Competition winner Stella Chen to perform Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto on Saturday, February 22.

American violinist Stella Chen’s illustrious background features the likes of Harvard University, the Juilliard School and Itzhak Perlman. Chen tackles Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, allegedly deemed “unplayable” by its original dedicatee, but now a monument in every concert violinist’s repertoire.

Music Director Earl Lee leads the orchestra in Jessie Montgomery’s jazz-infused Overture and Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 10—a portrait of anguish, agony, and all-too-brief triumph.
