On April 8, 2024 the sun and moon will once again align for a total solar eclipse in Rochester NY, the first in over 100 years! The last eclipse was seen here in 2017 and appeared as a partial eclipse, but this time we will see the main event as the track of totality passes right over the City of Rochester.

Jim Porter worked for over two decades as an aerospace engineer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA and Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland.
