Are you interested in a family-friendly art class that teaches drawing, painting, and explorations in art? This weekly club covers the basics through guided lessons, live demonstrations, experimentation, and practice. It's great for budding artists ages 4 - 8. Materials are included in the registration fee, so all you have to bring is your curiosity and imagination!
An experienced certified art teacher, Sasha encourages creative and critical thinking skills through artmaking. She will teach your child the fundamentals of drawing and painting with mixed media while keeping the joy of self-expression in mind. Each class encourages students' creativity while learning about color, value, composition, and more. Students will build on skills learned each week to create a landscape, still life, famous artist-inspired composition, and/or nature art pieces. New topics are introduced in each session. Oh, and yes - this is mostly about creating art for the joy and fun of it - because that is what really makes the world go around.
