Name of Program: Home School Maple Sugaring
Date and Time: Thursday, March 6, 1:00 PM-2:30 PM
Location: Nankin Mills Interpretive Center
Info about Program: Join us for maple sugaring this March, at our historic Nankin Mills campus. Experience an educational and interactive presentation on the history and process of maple sugaring. Then join us in the field to help us identify and tap a maple tree. Round out this experience with a taste of real maple syrup! Hike will be a half mile, parts of the trail are dirt and may be slippery.
We will cancel only in extreme weather conditions. In this case, you will be emailed by 4:00 PM on the day before the program and given credit for a future program.
Registration Start: February 1, 2025
Registration End: March 6, Noon
Fee: $6 per student, add $1 per student for out of county residents. Chaperones are free, but please only register students for home school programs.
Ages: 3 and older, under age 3 are free, but trail is not stroller friendly.
Limit: 25 students
