Name of Program: Home School Thursdays: Sustainability
Date and Time: Thursday, June 26, 1:00 PM-3:00 PM
Location: Nankin Mills Interpretive Center, Westland
Info about Program: A history of wind and waterpower, plantings for wildlife and water quality, there is much to learn about sustainability here at Nankin Mills. Indoors we will work with some fun alternative energy gadgets as well as learn about water quality. Then expect a hike of about a half mile on a trail surface of grass and dirt. Some of the terrain is uneven and can be muddy.
We will cancel only in extreme weather conditions. In this case, you will be emailed by 4:00 PM on the day before the program and given credit for a future program.
Registration Start: April 23, 2025
Registration End: June 26, Noon
Fee: $6.00 per student (add $1.00 each for non-Wayne County residents). Chaperones are free, but please only register students for home school programs.
Ages: Five and older. Siblings younger than five years are free for this program.
Limit: 25 students
