Juneteenth Celebration and Parade

Come out for the Parade, Entertainment, Genealogy, Food and Fun! There will be a ceremonial program featuring youth, historical exhibit and Juneteenth activities.

Celebration of the Juneteenth holiday educating the local community of its history. The theme is Rooted in Freedom: Blooming with Hope. There will be interactive displays highlighting past community history with a Juneteenth photo wall of families, parade featuring float, local talent and Mister and Miss Juneteenth as well as programmatic meal explaining why certain foods define African American culture. Families will be given seeds of Juneteenth foods to plant and grow at their homes and will make Family Tree Hats.
