Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
What is this camp about?
Learn to make homemade pasta and Chef Kieron’s 30+ ingredient bolognese sauce! Pick herbs and ingredients right from the garden! Assemble lasagna for the Ronald McDonald House. Creative time will include activities like writing cards to be distributed to homeless neighbors and decorating packaging. Each child will leave Wednesday with a complete meal for 4 to finish at home, including salad, vegetable lasagna and garlic bread as well as recipes for each item.
Who is this designed for?
Tweens with an interest in cooking and giving back to the community! Activities will be indoors in our 1834 Farmhouse as well as occasional outdoor time in our raised herb beds. Campers should be able to follow directions, be comfortable using kitchen equipment while supervised and be open to indoor and sometimes outdoor conditions, including rain and bugs.
Allergens note...
No nuts will be used in any camp.
Vegetarians can be accommodated.
We will not be able to prepare vegan, dairy free or gluten free versions of the planned meals.
