Kids Camp: Pizza Party

What is this camp about?
Learn about growing tomatoes and basil and then bring the ingredients together to make homemade dough and pizza sauce. Then, pick and prepare toppings from the garden before make pizzas. Creative time will include activities like writing cards to be distributed to homeless neighbors and decorating packaging. After assembling and packing pizzas to be baked for the Delonis Center, each child will leave Wednesday with salad, fresh dough, sauce and toppings to make 4 personal pizzas at home, along with recipes for each component!
Who is this designed for?
Tweens with an interest in cooking and giving back to the community! Activities will be indoors in our 1834 Farmhouse as well as outside around our 27 acres, mostly focusing on our willow garden area. Campers should be able to follow directions, be comfortable using kitchen and gardening equipment while supervised and be open to indoor and outdoor conditions, including rain and bugs.
Allergens note...
No nuts will be used in any camp.
Vegetarians can be accommodated.
We will not be able to prepare vegan, dairy free or gluten free versions of the planned meals.
