Maybury Farm - Farm/Summer Camp | Kids Out and About Ann Arbor / Detroit

Maybury Farm - Farm/Summer Camp

arm Camp is a four-day camp (Tues-Fri) filled with exciting STEAM based experiences designed to engage and educate campers on all things farming! Held entirely outdoors, campers will not only be totally unplugged, but will get their hands dirty while learning the importance of caring for a working farm. This includes hands-on animal care - feeding, watering, observations.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

In addition to more hands-on experience with our animals and garden, our 2026 Farm Camp will teach campers about how our farm is maintained - including building animal tables, and taking part in small repair projects designed to keep our animals engaged and safe. Focusing on age-appropriate tasks, campers will learn about responsibility, work ethics and life skills - all while having fun! They'll also play team-building games, make enrichment toys for the animals, and more!

Farm Camp is designed to include a variety of fun and educational activities that will connect campers to the animals and agriculture that provide so much of our food and fiber.  Farm Camp cultivates awareness and appreciation for the role of farmers, land, and animals in the world around us and how they contribute to our daily lives!

Registration is required.  Weekly camps are limited to 26 campers per session.  Campers may sign-up for an unlimited number of sessions. Please be aware that Farm Camp enrollment fills up quickly so please register as early as possible.
