National Trails and River Day

American Hiking Society's National Trails Day (NTD) is a celebration of America's magnificent Trail System that is held annually on the first Saturday in June. Scheduled events along the Lower Rouge Trail include self-guided hiking along the beautiful Rouge River, educational displays and presentations by the 'Friends of the Rouge,' 'Leave No Trace' principles and recycling information, a 'make-it-yourself' trail mix station, and more! This is a FREE, family and pet-friendly event that is designed to raise awareness of hiking in Canton.
