Wayne County Parks Earth Day!

Join us on Saturday, April 13 from Noon – 4:00 PM as we celebrate Mother Earth at this FREE EVENT! For 2019, The event has moved across the street from the Nankin Mills Interpretive Center to Nankin Mills Park (near picnic shelter).

Here is the schedule of events for the day!

Noon-4:00 PM
*HCMA Mobile Learning Center will have interactive wetland animal exhibits
*Arts & Scraps will have recycled crafts for kids
*The Dirt Doctors will have interactive fun with erosion
*Wayne County Naturalists will teach you about invasive plants and animals
*Wildlife Volunteer, Sandy Wallace, presents “Why Go Wild,” earth stewardship program

1:00 PM-2:00 PM
*Howell Nature Center will present a live animal show on animals in your backyard

3:00 PM-4:00 PM
*Bees in the D will have an interactive program on the life of a honeybee and make homemade seed bookmarks
