The Michigan Firehouse Museum and Education Center's mission is to enhance the appreciation of firefighting history through engaging and informative exhibits, as well as teaching and promoting fire safety and prevention. Visit the original 1898 Firehouse as well as 3 floors of fire trucks and displays in our modern addition.
The Michigan Firehouse Museum and Education Center is one of the best fire museums in the country. Attached to Ypsilanti's original 1898 firehouse, the Museum offers 26,000 square feet of exhibits and event space on three floors. Come tour the Museum and visit firefighting trucks and equipment dating as far back as the 1700's. We also offer unique spaces to host your events - birthday parties, corporate meetings, large parties and celebrations.
