Mudpuppypalooza at Belle Isle Nature Center
Celebrate the aquatic salamander who calls the Detroit River home — the mudpuppy! From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 23, you’ll explore fun and educational activities such as chats with animal care staff, mask-making, crafting model mudpuppies and mudpuppy cookie decorating. You’ll also view mudpuppies up close while learning about them and the conservation work being done to protect this species in the wild.
