Sasha Farm Animal Sanctuary

Welcome to SASHA Farm
The Midwest’s Largest Farm Animal Sanctuary
At SASHA Farm, we provide more than just food, water, veterinary care, and shelter—we offer love, companionship, and a true sense of security to our rescued animals.
Our mission began over 30 years ago with the rescue of a nine-month-old Border Collie/Spaniel mix from a pet shop. Unable to be properly cared for by her adoptive family, she found her forever home at the sanctuary. With her signature white-tipped tail, Sasha quickly became the farm’s guardian, watching over every new arrival. She remained a loyal companion for 17 years, and in her honor, the sanctuary was named SASHA Farm—an acronym for Sanctuary and Safe Haven for Animals.
What We Do
Showing Farmed Animals Care and Compassion for Over 30 Years
Our rescue efforts began in the 1980s as a small endeavor, but as more farmed animals in need of care arrived, it became clear that greater support was needed for the daily management of the farm. This led to the formal establishment of SASHA Farm Animal Sanctuary. Over the years, we have saved thousands of animals from abuse, neglect, and abandonment, providing them with a safe and loving home.
Today, SASHA Farm is home to over 200 rescued animals, each with a unique story. Some were abandoned, others suffered neglect or mistreatment, but all have now found a safe, loving, and permanent home with us.
In 2001, SASHA Farm officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, ensuring that our mission of rescue, protection, and advocacy can continue. Donations are tax-deductible, and every contribution directly supports the well-being of our residents today and in the future.
Thank you for being a part of our mission to provide a sanctuary for animals in need!
