Engage with the inspiring author, Leon El-Alamin, author of Tears Dry and Wounds Heal: The Story of My Life. Leon is the founder of the M.A.D.E. Institute, a transformative organization dedicated to helping formerly incarcerated individuals experience renewal. Located in the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library
Collaborate with the FIA and your fellow community members on an oversized paint-by-number, create your own chalk art with many emerging Flint artists, and enjoy making a meaningful Kuumba beaded bracelet to take home with you. Be sure to stop in the Hot Shop for a special glass-blowing demonstration featuring the colors of freedom.
