This is “Detroit Basketball” at its best. For boys and girls of all skill levels, Pistons Academy camps are designed to teach kids how to be a champion both on and off the basketball court. Camp will consist of fundamental skill-development in the morning and NBA-themed games and competitions during the afternoon. In addition to becoming a better basketball player, campers will enjoy guest appearances from current and/or former Pistons players (If/when available, but not guaranteed), a high-flying dunk performance by the Pistons Extreme Team, and a spectacular awards ceremony on the final day of camp. Our one-of-a kind coaching staff is excited to deliver an experience that only the Detroit Pistons can provide!

Urban sketching is a drawing while on location in areas that you live in or traveling to. Learn to sketch the surroundings, groups of buildings, stores, temples, concerts, parks -you can sketch it! It’s a great informal way to document the world you live in. We will acquire the skills of reading proportion, scaling, vanishing point. Artists will bring their own lawn chair. We will walk into downtown Northville each day. In case of rain, we will use our gallery space at the Art House. |

All aspects of the game are covered and the instruction is kept simple, fun and relaxed with games and contests. Camps begin with the basic fundamentals of the golf grip, stance, posture, aim alignment and moves through the swing plane and motion. Youngsters will be taught lessons in fairness, perseverance, self-control and self-esteem that will help them long after they have left the instruction tee. Camp includes; camp shirt, lunch, on-course instruction, practice balls, range use, essential gift bag, certificate reduced green fees all season, use of equipment (if needed), games, prizes and awards! Space is limited to 14 participants. Camps are Non-refundable.

Camp New Heights is a YMCA day camp program located in East Washtenaw County, where each week is packed with opportunities for exploration and active fun. Each session, campers participate in themed activities, arts & crafts, science experiments, sports, team building, silent reading time, enrichment activities and more.
Throughout the summer, campers have the opportunity participate in swim outings at local pools under the supervision of a YMCA-trained lifeguard. |
