Our camp program involves humane education lessons on many topics depending on the session and age group. Some past topics have been pet photography, animal communication, bird identification and wildlife conservation. Participants will also visit with adoptable animals each day, provide enrichment and training with shelter animals and enjoy presentations from local rescue organizations.

 Foundations Classical Academy |
In this live online course, we improve our print and cursive handwriting through reading and writing about people and events from American history as well as drawing them. Why drawing? Drawing develops some of the same muscle groups used for handwriting. It's also lots of fun! Recommended for ages 11-18. An ADULT SECTION is also available (meeting time is different. It will start at 9:30 AM PST and end at 10:30 AM PST).

Camp is Monday - Friday from 9 am - 3 pm during the scheduled dates. This course introduces campers to the Unity gaming engine. From installing and configuring unity to building their first game. Campers will learn how to publish their creation to IOS, Xbox, Android, PC, MacOS, and Linux! They will also get hands-on with Oculus Quest 2, learning its interface and capabilities.

The purpose of this live ONLINE course is to spark pre-teen/early teenage students' interest in reading classic books and to teach them to engage in Socratic discussion about themes, characters, plot, etc. We will also focus on history related to the stories. Our summer 2025 readings are selections from Homer’s The Iliad and The Odyssey. The cost is $150 for 22.5 hours of instruction June 16-Aug. 13, 2025.

Join us for a mini-monstrous journey into the Challenge Island wild! Our adventurous STEAM Teams are on a quest to catch, collect and train all of the island's mini-monsters. They'll visit gyms, earn badges, go on treasure hunts, and even engage in a battle or two. With the help of their ally STEAMaroo, a clever and friendly kangaroo islandmon, our STEAM Teams will tackle an island full of engineering challenges as they evolve into true STEAM Champions. Ready? Camp is Monday - Friday from 9 am - 12 pm during the scheduled dates. Using the Lego EV3 Mindstorms students will build a combat Robot. At the end of the camp, the teams will compete against each other in the robot arena!

 Challenge Island - Oakland County East |
In this all-new camp, students will work in small STEAM Teams to mix up new slime classics based on children's stories like Alice's Unbirthday Cake Slime, Charlie's Everlasting Gobstopper Slime, Percy's Blue Cookie Slime, Narnia's Turkish Delight Slime and STEAMwarts Butter Beer Slime. In addition to making two slimes a day, every camper will also receive a copy of our book Surprise at Blow Cart Beach: A Challenge Island STEAM Adventure, which is filled with slimy science and treasures.

Farm Camp is a four-day camp (Tues-Fri) filled with exciting experiences designed to engage and educate campers on all things farming! Held entirely outdoors, campers will not only totally unplug, but will get their hands dirty. They will enjoy learning about the care and function of animals while helping in the barn, and will learn about the cycle of planting, growing and harvesting while helping out in the Farm Garden.
