2025 Meadow Brook Writing Camp
Meadow Brook Hall
Each summer, Meadow Brook Hall opens the estate to aspiring writers of all ages for the Meadow Brook Writing Camps, hosted by the Meadow Brook Writing Project. Each day, students will tour the historic house museum and world-class gardens to nurture, polish and ultimately publish their original works. Published works include both written and digital presentations.

In this unique day camp, children will get to experiment with different art forms while exploring the estate and seeing the artistry that sets us apart. Each day, they’ll engage in art projects inspired by our stained glass, photography, textiles, sculpture and more.

Summer Creativity Camps

Each day, our Creativity Camps are packed with fun and challenging activities that balance learning and play. Campers may experiment with a variety of mediums such as graphite, paint, pastels, charcoal, watercolor, sculptural materials, and more. Although we provide a lot of traditional art instruction, we also encourage campers to take what they’ve learned and apply it to outside-the-box projects.
Summer Clay Camps

Our Clay Camp curriculum is designed to teach pottery skills and to encourage the exploration of clay as a material for design, sculpture, and expression. Each week, campers learn to throw on the wheel in the mornings. Campers learn various hand-building techniques to create stunning sculptures, tiles, or functional items in the afternoons.
Summer Teen Camp

Our newly expanded Teen Camps offer an enriching balance of creativity and skill-building art educational experiences for beginner and aspiring teen artists. Throughout the week, campers dive into exciting projects that ignite imaginations and hone creative expressions within the designated art discipline.
VR Creator: Fun with Unity and Oculus

Camp is Monday - Friday from 9 am - 3 pm during the scheduled dates. This course introduces campers to the Unity gaming engine. From installing and configuring unity to building their first game. Campers will learn how to publish their creation to IOS, Xbox, Android, PC, MacOS, and Linux! They will also get hands-on with Oculus Quest 2, learning its interface and capabilities.
Creative Lab: 3D Printing and Design

This camp is dedicated to exploring the ins-and-outs of one of the most interesting areas in tech. 3D printing is a mode of product development that is fast, easy, and creative! Campers will work throughout the week to design & print their own creation!
Battle of the Bots: Tournament of Champions - Half Day Camp

Camp is Monday - Friday from 9 am - 12 pm during the scheduled dates. Using the Lego EV3 Mindstorms students will build a combat Robot. At the end of the camp, the teams will compete against each other in the robot arena!
Camp Fowler week #5 Una Tierra (3rd-12th graders)

We offer overnight camp sessions for campers coming out of 3rd-12th grade. Campers who choose a Residential Camp week will stay in cabins on our 245 acre campus on the shores of Sacandaga Lake.

Multi-Sports Camp

Do your kids love non-stop fun and games? Are they ready to try new sports and activities? Join Kidokinetics as we build confident kids through hands-on coaching, tons of fun equipment, and small group sizes. We have 16 sports to introduce and multiple games to keep your camper engaged! We have half and full-day options, and each day includes a choice time for campers to choose from yoga, free play, more sports, crafts, and more. Campers bring their snacks and lunch. Ages 5-11.
Jr Programmer: Intro to 2D Game Development with Scratch

Camp is Monday - Friday from 9 am - 3 pm during the scheduled dates. Campers learn to create games and advanced applications using the Scratch programming language. They’ll integrate functions, custom code blocks, and physical components into their projects while also gaining other important skills like flowcharting, and principles of electrical engineering. Campers will learn to develop games similar to Flappy Birds, Pac-Man, and other platformer games.
Maybury Farm Summer Camp

Farm Camp is a four-day camp (Tues-Fri) filled with exciting experiences designed to engage and educate campers on all things farming! Held entirely outdoors, campers will not only totally unplug, but will get their hands dirty. They will enjoy learning about the care and function of animals while helping in the barn, and will learn about the cycle of planting, growing and harvesting while helping out in the Farm Garden. ​ ​
